There
are several forms of transportation provided by LGA for your ease and
convenience, including taxi services that will be there waiting, limo services,
shuttles, and public transportation. With such a wide variety, all in different
price ranges, there is sure to be one to meet your needs in getting to your
final destination.
All of your transportation needs can be found next to and right in front of each
terminal, with Ground Transportation Information located at all lower baggage
claim levels of the terminals, and there are many available choices and
information about taxis, shared-ride vans, shuttle busses limousines, other
public transportation, or reservations for busses, so the convenience of
transportation can be very accommodating, especially after a long flight.
It is important to note here that even though someone looks official and may approach you to offer you a ride, they are breaking the law; please follow the signs to the Ground Transportation center located near the baggage claim area. Also, for prompt service and to accommodate those with special needs situations, please call at least 24 hours in advance for shared ride options or accommodations for transportation. Traveling to and from other Airports
There are several ways to connect from LaGuardia Airport to
the John F. Kennedy International Airport and the Newark Liberty
International Airport of Newark, NJ, so if you are seeking a connection, you
need not worry, someone can take you there. Seek out the Ground

With their helpful guidance and advice, they will make sure you make it to
your destination safely and as quickly as possible. If you need service to
the local Amtrak or other bus lines, they will be able to guide you as well.
Penn Station is where you can catch the Amtrak, Long Island Rail Road, PATH
train, and the subway system.
Sites to See
New York City (NYC) is one of the greatest cities you
will ever visit. Time here goes much faster than you might expect; it is
said that one day in New York City is like a week in every day life in
other places. There is so much to see in NYC, you must truly plan
accordingly. Some of the best sites to see in NYC, of course, are the
much spoken of sites of Central Park, however, it is not advisable to
see Central Park after hours. Plan a day for this trip to fully

plenty to do in NYC without having to pay a fortune. Make sure you
notice the little things such as the graffiti artistry, to the artists
in the subway, and the tile work on the subway walls to fully immerse
yourself in the true New York experience. Broadway is also a site to
see, from the plays, to just walking to experience the excitement of the
street, from shops of fabric houses to clubs, there is always something
to do in NYC.
Don't miss Times Square; this is something seen on television and in
movies that cannot be adequately expressed by words as to what it is in
reality. Also please note, true New Yorkers are not rude; they are
running on a New York minute, but are always helpful to give advice as
to where to visit. They just truly do not have much time to spare
because of living here, and once you have visited, you will find as well
as most New Yorkers, time is of the essence and is to be cherished.

When the airport was dedicated on October 15th of 1939 it was simply referred to as the New York Municipal Airport. During the dedicated ceremony a banner plane was spotted with the words ?Name it LaGuardia? fluttering behind it (The Port Authority would later honor this wish once they acquired complete control of the airfield).
